The Capsule Gals™ Present Our Top 10 of 2024
When the Capsule Gals™ are in the wild, we’re taking note of the capsules we see, both for our clients and ourselves, and now, for you! We decided to share our top 10 Capsule Moments of 2024 as the year comes to a close and a new one ripe with possibility is about to unfold.
ONE
This absolute gem of a vintage bathroom from an 1893 tudor in Lynnhurst, South Minneapolis.
Two short blocks to Lake Harriet and situated on a wooded lot, this tudor had it all. Including one of the most pristine baths of this era. Personally, we’d add some wallpaper, enamel the white trim in a complementary color and call it good for the next century to come.
TWO
This wood-paneled architect-designed MCM capsule near the Mississippi.
Featuring original steel casement windows rarely seen in our climate, so beautifully preserved!
THREE
This midcentury basement complete with a basement bar, pool table, and scenic mural
Snagged by some lucky clients of ours!!
FOUR
This 1935 Streamline Moderne Capsule: a Midwest rarity!
A South Minneapolis well-preserved and celebrated deco example.
FIVE
A storied craftsman overlooking the Mississippi gets a new life.
We were happy to pass this one off to caring hands, who have since undergone a massive update on the home, touching every room and then some, all while celebrating and preserving its architectural history.
SIX
The studio of our dreams
Tucked above a detached garage in West St. Paul
SEVEN
This Ericsson tudor’s front door.
Artful stained glass complementing the architectural curves!
EIGHT
Plaster texture FTW!
Pillowy and soft textured 1920s plaster spotted at a listing in Bryn Mawr, MPLS
NINE
This 1960 Grandma Ranch Capsule & its wallpaper throughout
Wallpaper & coordinating window treatments are our love language & we wouldn’t change a thing.
TEN
This 1958 Alcoa “Care Free” Home in Saint Louis Park
Complete with wood paneled walls, ceilings and a COURTYARD!
